I've always been fascinated by the power of visual storytelling. Between the ages of six and twelve, I took private art lessons, where it very quickly just became the subject that felt most natural to me. By the time I reached high school and found design classes, everything fell into place: design was the space where my creativity, curiosity, and problem-solving instincts could finally meet. Today, as both a Business and Graphic Design major, I bring a multidimensional perspective to every project I take on. My business background gives me strong research skills, clarity in presentation, and the ability to make intentional, informed design decisions. I'm communicative, organized, personable, and able to work with all kinds of people-skills that make collaboration not only easy but genuinely enjoyable.
As a designer, I pride myself on being that type of perfectionist best described as detail-oriented, thoughtful, and committed to crafting work that is meaningful, purposeful, and accessible to anyone interacting with it. I love when design can create impact-whether that's through clarity, emotion, or storytelling. My thesis project and my tarot card deck were especially formative in shaping who I am as a designer. The tarot deck really challenged me to think more deeply about symbolism, narrative, and identity. It required me to balance structure with intuition, and to create a visual system that felt cohesive yet expressive. It taught me patience, discipline, and how to trust my instincts-skills I now carry into every creative challenge.
Outside of design, I have just as many passions that fuel my visual inspiration. I'm a Division III athlete in cross-country and track, and being an athlete has shaped my work ethic: I perform well under pressure, stay organized, and understand the discipline it takes to push through challenges. In many ways, I exist between two worlds-the athlete and the artist-which makes me versatile, adaptable, and open-minded in my creative process.
But of all these hobbies, hiking is the one that most deeply informs my design. I've summited 17 of Colorado's 58 fourteeners, and all that time outdoors has honed my sense of balance, simplicity, and clarity. Being outside reminds me time and again that design should breathe, storytelling should feel grounded, and audiences are hungry for authenticity. My love of the natural world comes through in my work in color choices, pacing, and the desire to craft designs that are simple and true. Ultimately, I want to do work that matters, speaks effectively, and maintains value. I am easy to work with, passionate about what I am doing, and always wanting to grow as a designer and human being.
